Max - 2005 March Canine Angel of the Month

He’s cute, sweet, friendly and happy. Four years ago, my daughter decided on purchasing a puppy from a local breeder. I accompanied her that day, and met this sweet six week old puppy. Six weeks later, I found myself compelled to return, on the very day that puppy was to be made available for adoption. I knew then, it was our destiny to be together. Max has that intuitive sense that defines why we love dogs so much. He seems to know not only when I need affection, but is there to give it in abundance. He will lavish puppy kisses on everyone, but is especially affectionate with me, whenever I need respite from the cares of the world. Max is perfectly content in my lap or on my shoulder, and when it comes to his social life, would rather be in the company of humans than any other creature. Max is also “muttramonied” to Angel, the inspiration of 100% Angel, through a celebrated ceremony performed last summer. Max and Angel are inseparable companions. Perhaps one of the most wonderful results of having Max in my life, is that while on a doggy walk with Max over three years ago, we met Jennifer and Angel. We have all been great friends ever since. It seems Max is not only drawn toward humans, but draws them to me. He is a truly a magnet for affection. Elaine K., Sherman Oaks, CA
